St. Peters Hospital is one of the regions major healthcare facilities. The site currently contains a 442 bed acute care hospital, two skilled nursing facilities and the Community Hospice. The hospital is in the process of completing major infrastructure upgrade to the facility that will be completed in several phases over the next several years. The Phase II program consisted of upgrades to the site utilities with a new transformer yard, and generator building, a new entrance building connecting the existing Cancer Center building to the main hospital and a new seven story Tower addition on the west side of the hospital's acute care facility. These additions added over 267,000 square feet of new space to the hospital.
